1. Agreement and eligibility

These terms govern your use of Slaps' website, Twitch extension, and related backend services (the “Service”). “Slaps,” “we,” and “us” refer to the Slaps team, reachable at tinysoftwareworks@gmail.com. By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

You must be at least 13 and meet Twitch's age requirements. If you have not reached legal adulthood where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review these terms and permit your use as required by applicable law. Your use must also comply with the Twitch Terms of Service and relevant community rules.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information, including public contributor rankings and uploaded files.

2. Access to Slaps

Subject to these terms, you may use Slaps to decorate shared 3D objects and, as a broadcaster, configure the extension for your channel and show it in your streams. This permission is limited, non-exclusive, and does not give you ownership of Slaps' software, branding, or built-in assets.

Some features require Twitch login, identity sharing, additional Twitch permissions, eligible subscriptions, following a channel, or Bits. Available features depend on Twitch, the broadcaster's settings, and the current extension version. The website demo is a session-only preview and does not create a paid placement or shared channel progress.

3. Acceptable use

You are responsible for your activity and the content you provide. You must not:

  • Upload or display unlawful content, threats, harassment, hateful material, sexual exploitation, or content that violates Twitch's rules.
  • Share private information about another person without permission, impersonate someone deceptively, or violate intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Bypass follower or subscriber restrictions, forge authorization or purchase receipts, manipulate rankings, or exploit a bug to obtain unauthorized placements.
  • Disrupt the service through excessive requests, malicious files, unauthorized access, or interference with other users.

Broadcasters remain responsible for managing their channel, selecting suitable uploads, and moderating the content shown to their audience.

4. Uploads and intellectual property

You retain ownership of images, audio, and other content you provide. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload, publicly display, and broadcast that content, including any commercial use on your channel.

You give Slaps a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, cache, process, transmit, and display your content as needed to operate the Service and deliver your channel's experience. This permission includes use by our service providers for those purposes. It does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

Uploads are publicly accessible. Sticker images and unlock sounds use public file URLs. Subscriber-only placement rules do not make the underlying files private. Content displayed on a stream may also appear in recordings, clips, screenshots, and downloads.

Deleting an upload ends its availability through the applicable channel controls, subject to existing placements, technical caches, backups, and any legally required retention. We cannot recall copies made by other people. Twitch emotes and third-party assets remain subject to their owners' rights.

5. Bits purchases and digital placements

Shared sticker placements use Twitch Bits. Slaps shows the applicable Bits cost before you open Twitch's purchase flow; the selected sticker size affects that cost. Twitch handles Bits purchases and their payment terms, including the Bits Acceptable Use Policy.

A completed purchase must be verified before a shared placement is saved. Network errors, changed channel settings, an unavailable sticker, or other eligibility checks may prevent a placement from saving. If Twitch completes a purchase but your placement does not appear, contact us with the channel, approximate time, and available transaction reference. Do not send passwords or authorization tokens.

A placement is a digital interaction with a channel canvas. It does not give you ownership of the channel, the model, the artwork, or a permanent display slot. Moderation, model changes, capacity limits, and service changes may affect its visibility.

Slaps does not independently promise refunds of Bits or convert placements and progression into cash. Bits payment questions are subject to Twitch's policies and support processes. Nothing in these terms limits a refund or other remedy required by applicable law.

6. Moderation, rankings, and progression

Broadcasters can remove stickers, clear a model's canvas, change the active object, and manage channel artwork and access. We may also restrict content or access to address abuse, rights complaints, security problems, or violations of these terms.

Channel progression and contributor totals are stored separately from visible stickers. Removing a placement does not reduce those totals or relock completed levels. Broadcaster placements count toward their personal contributor totals but do not advance the channel's all-time Slaps or unlock progression.

Rankings may reflect historical data limits, profile updates, or corrections. Levels, rankings, and unlocked models have no cash value and do not create a promise that a feature or record will remain available indefinitely.

7. Third-party services

Slaps relies on Twitch and on hosting, database, and storage providers. Their availability and policies can affect the Service. Twitch accounts, subscriptions, emotes, and Bits remain governed by Twitch's own terms. External documentation and other linked sites have their own terms and privacy practices.

Slaps is a third-party extension. Twitch trademarks and content belong to their respective owners.

8. Availability, warranties, and liability

We may update, limit, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or permanent preservation of uploads, placements, and progression. Keep your own copies of uploaded artwork and audio.

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, Slaps is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost revenue, or losses caused by third-party outages or user-provided content.

These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or remove mandatory consumer protections and remedies.

9. Stopping use and restricted access

You may stop using Slaps at any time. Broadcasters can deactivate or uninstall the extension through Twitch; viewers can disconnect their optional Twitch connection and revoke its permissions.

Stopping use or uninstalling the extension does not automatically erase stored channel history, placements, or contributor totals. For a personal data deletion request, follow the instructions in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to address violations, abuse, security risks, legal requirements, or the closure of the Service. Terms concerning ownership, existing obligations, liability, and dispute resolution continue where relevant after use ends.

10. Changes and disputes

We may update these terms as the Service changes. We will revise the date above and provide any notice required by law. Continued use after an update takes effect means accepting the updated terms; you can stop using the Service if you disagree.

If a problem arises, contact us so we can try to resolve it. Applicable law determines the rights and remedies available to you and the appropriate forum for a dispute. These terms do not waive mandatory protections you have under the law where you live.

11. Contact and content reports

For support, questions about these terms, or a report of harmful or infringing content, email tinysoftwareworks@gmail.com.

For a content report, identify the affected Twitch channel, the sticker or file, its URL if available, the reason for your report, and a way to contact you. For copyright concerns, identify the work you own or represent and explain why the use is unauthorized. We may request further information to assess and act on a report.
